The platform migration, without the meltdown
The Great Escape
You don't have to stay on the platform you started on. There's a cleaner setup on the other side… and getting there needn’t be a disaster.
For businesses that are done wrestling the backend and ready for a cleaner platform, better structure, and a site that's easier to actually run.
How migration works ↓
Starting at $2,700
Your business may not need a full reinvention. It may just need out of a clunky, outdated, overbuilt, or hard-to-manage platform and into a cleaner setup that makes more sense.
You're stuck on Wix, WordPress, an older Squarespace site.
The content can come with you, but the setup needs a cleaner home.
Your current backend feels harder than it should.
Too much friction, too much patchwork, too much upkeep for what the site actually needs to do.
You're on Shopify, but the store is small and the setup is overkill.
For simpler eCommerce, Squarespace can be a cleaner, more intuitive fit.
If your site needs a deeper rebrand, major custom functionality, or a larger architectural rethink → a bigger build may be the better route.
Perfect for when the platform is the problem

Platform Migrations
How it works.
-
You send the current site, the platform details, and what's making it feel messy, outdated, or too hard to manage. We do a quick audit and decide whether this is the right escape route.
-
Once booked, we map what moves, what gets cleaned up, and what should be archived instead of dragged into the new build.
-
We rebuild the site in Squarespace 7.1, migrate the right content and media, and tighten structure, navigation, and CTA flow along the way.
-
You review the new site, we make the final refinements, then connect the domain, set redirects, and launch cleanly.
-
Well you're not left alone with it. There's 30 days of support after launch for cleanup, questions, and settling in.
Timeline + investment
The migration size shapes the timeline. Smaller sites can move fast. Larger or messier setups need more room to untangle properly.

Not on my watch. Every migration includes URL mapping and 301 redirects, so your existing pages pass their authority to the new ones. You might see a small ripple for a week or two while Google re-indexes. That's normal, and it settles.
-
No. The new dev site gets built in full while your current one keeps running. We flip the switch when everything's ready... meaning minutes of transition, not days of darkness.
-
They come with you. Domain and DNS migration are part of the job, and your email keeps working straight through the switch. This is the part people fear most, and the task I've done the most.
-
Rebuilt, priced, and tested before launch. I've moved catalogs of 180+ products between platforms. Yours will survive their journey.
-
If your store is on the smaller side, absolutely... we rebuild it in Squarespace and you get a calmer life. Larger, more complex Shopify operations are usually better off staying put, and I'll tell you that honestly on the Fit Call instead of selling you a bad move.
-
The Great Escape lands you on Squarespace 7.1 because it's the platform I can make bulletproof for creatives and service businesses: stable, ownable, and easy for you to actually run. If Squarespace isn't right for your business, I'll tell you on the Fit Call and we'll figure out what is.
-
That's usually why people call me. Some platforms don't offer clean exports, so I extract content manually when I have to. Hostage situations are kind of my specialty.
-
Most escapes run two to four weeks, depending on site size and store complexity. You'll get an exact timeline in your proposal. Fair warning: third-party platforms love surprises, so I build breathing room in.
-
Beyond your honest and complete intake questionnaire, just your logins, a few decisions, and quick answers when I ask. I handle the excavation, the rebuild, and the technical archaeology.
